outside the box

Inertia of thought
like death that breathes
conflict free
peaceful
uneventful

This life in death
death in life
is it worth it?

Better to have thought
and struggled to create
and suffered

and died

than flow along
without thought.

Ma'am, isn't this the key to all our problems? Problems only we thinking human beings have?

We "think and struggle to creat and suffer" when life is so simple and beautiful once we unwind ourselves and let go. Please contemplate on this.

Letting go is the key to happiness, though I would not claim I have got over the kind of conditioning you mention in your poem that is my conditioning too.

i think i and balan said the same, kpj. my comment is an elaboration of balan's 'just be,' isn't it? we are all at different levels of approaching the truth, that is all. and we have to touch the truth to know peace and happiness.

I kind'a hold that when we - as P Venugopal puts it, and to change but one word - "sniff the truth" have a duty to speak of it - metaphorically of course - to other ppl - perhaps then we can begin to be free and peaceful or as someone said 'just be'.
