Did you blow your brains out
To set it free
From the tentacular stranglehold
Of dark despair?
I understand
And weep for you
Siddharth, my friend.
To set it free
From the tentacular stranglehold
Of dark despair?
I understand
And weep for you
Siddharth, my friend.

Siddharth? Is it Protima Bedi's son you are talking about? Or someone else? i was recently googling Protima ( you know, she died en route Kailas - I visited the place, Malpa, in 2000, two years after the tragedy which took more than 400 lives).
As one who hangs out in the streets of depression and melancholia, I too can empathize, though long ago, I had decided that if matters come to a head, I will not kill myself; instead I will go for a long walk into the snows of Himalayas...
@ balachandranV
no. this is a friend and colleague
sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I've lost friends to suicide and it seems to be so much heavier a loss then all other deaths.
Your wording in the first stanza "tentacular stranglehold of dark despair" just grabbed me. It made me see it.
Welcome back, madam. I was wondering why you were silent for such a long time. Now I thing I understand.
Good one.
I was reminded of the song too.
